ABOUT US
As a resident, you are invited to join The Casey Key Association (“CKA”), a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the residential character and environment that makes Casey Key attractive to those who live here and visit.
The CKA works to promote the security and safety of the residents, represent our members’ interest of the county officials and surrounding communities, and preserve the quality of our beaches and bays through the health of vegetation and wildlife.
Current activities by the Board of Directors and the volunteers on our various committees including providing an extra measure of security by engaging in off-duty Sheriff’s deputies to patrol the key at night and watch vacant residences, working with the other barrier island association to insure the county officials are aware of our position on zoning and building code issues, and active participation in various conservation activities such as protecting the turtle nesting that occur annually on the Key.
Our social events include Key Mingles held the first Monday of each month during the season (October – May) and our annual picnic in mid-April. Each year we provide a CKA Membership Directory to all of our members.
We encourage you to join the CKA and meet your neighbors at one of our upcoming functions. In the meantime, if I can help in anyway, please contact me at 941-993-0025, or thecaseykeyassociation@gmail.com.
